St. Mary’s Gives
November 12-13, 2025
St. Mary’s Gives
St. Mary’s Gives is our annual online giving event. This year, St. Mary’s Gives took place on November 12-13th. All donations were matched dollar-for-dollar up to $60,000!
In addition, we also encourage our Aggie Catholic friends and family to share an experience of theirs on social media and tag St. Mary’s Catholic Center.
Our Annual Two-Day Drive and Celebration
How has St. Mary’s impacted you?
Our goal is two parts. We do want to raise funds for the ministry of St. Mary’s, but we also want to know how St. Mary’s has impacted your life! Please take this opportunity to share some of the special moments or times that you had at St. Mary’s via your personal social media channels.
Shirt for Students
Students who donate $25 or more during St. Mary’s Gives are eligible to receive the new St. Mary’s Gives t-shirt while supplies last! If you’re unable to donate, a parent’s gift can count toward your shirt too. Swing by the lobby on Wednesday or Thursday to pick yours up.
Now Logan Can Be Logan
How one student found his true identity in Christ at St. Mary’s
When Logan Fossett arrived at Texas A&M, he was like a lot of students, trying to figure out who he was.
“I didn’t really know who I was,” he said. “That was the whole thing. Had a bit of a lapse of identity, and was often searching for validation in things of the world, like being good at sports or talking to girls, or all these things that aren’t really fulfilling in the end. I was just focused on me, me, me. How can I make a name for myself? And at the same time, I didn’t really know who I was trying to be or why I wanted to be someone, so I was kind of just lost.”
That sense of being lost didn’t last forever. God had already planted the seeds of faith in his life through family. “I have great parents, man, they’re so like loving, and they’ve poured out so much into me,” he said. “They’re very understanding. I can talk to them about anything, and they’re never judging me. It certainly mirrors now my understanding of the love and mercy of the Father.”
He also remembers afternoons at his grandmother’s house in Louisiana, where she read the Bible to him, and the example of his grandfather who had a deep reversion to the faith. “He’s really been trying to pour that back into us, his grandchildren,” Logan said. “He’s always checking in, always praying for us. It made me think.”
But when high school hit, he drifted. “I just kind of recognized that I was lost, and I was like, there’s got to be more,” he said. “I need to start going back to church.”
That simple act of returning began to change everything.
Every student who walks through our doors is searching for meaning. Your gift today helps them find it in Jesus and His Church.

A New Beginning
When Logan moved to College Station, he found St. Mary’s Catholic Center and through it, a home.
“Christ met me where I was,” he said. “And He changed my life.”
He joined OCIA and was baptized, confirmed, and received his First Communion at the Easter Vigil in 2024.
“Before that I was living in shame and feeling unworthy of love,” he said. “Then I was baptized, and like, now Logan can be Logan. This is who God created me to be. I can live that out fully now, because I’m not afraid or ashamed anymore. I’m doing my best to live out the call that He has for me and to be the man He created me to be.”
That freedom became contagious. Logan now leads a John 15 small group, mentors students through OCIA, serves at the altar, and is active in Pescadores.
“My OCIA table leaders were awesome,” he said. “One of them ended up being my sponsor, and the other’s on mission now. They mentored us by living their faith, just truly being witnesses. That inspired me to do the same.”
He remembers his own curiosity growing each week during OCIA. “At first, I was like, I mean, this is cool. But towards the end of the first semester, Tuesdays started to be my favorite day of the week. I’d get done with classes, then go to OCIA and learn more about the Church. All my questions and walls were coming down. The misconceptions were being answered by my table leaders and Kevin. It was awesome.”
Now, Logan walks with others through the same process. “It’s hard to mentor these guys, man, but at the end of the day, we’re all seeking to be closer to Christ. So it’s just walking with them, meeting them where they are, and lifting both of our hearts to Christ.”
Living Without Fear
“Last year, I was pretty underground,” he said, laughing. “I knew my OCIA people and my John 15 people, but that was about it. This year, I just go up to people, smile, and say, I’m Logan. Who are you? I just try to lead with kindness and love, regardless of whether it’s going to be reciprocated or not. That’s what we’re called to, love, regardless.”
The same confidence that once came from trying to prove himself now comes from knowing who he is in Christ.
“There’s nothing holding me back anymore,” he said. “I can just talk with people, because I’m living a life with Christ now, and Christ is here with me. I trust that He’s going to guide me in my conversations and in my life if I invite Him into them. There’s no longer anything to be afraid or ashamed of. It’s beautiful.”
We send students to lead, serve, and bring others to Christ. You make that possible. Give Today →
The Spark at St. Mary’s
“It’s really a great community here,” Logan said. “I think I’ve been realizing it a lot this semester, that we take for granted the great Catholic community we have here. I’ll be on breaks or over the summer, and it’s just not the same anywhere else. Obviously, the Church is the same, but the people aren’t the same here. The spark that rests at St. Mary’s is a very special thing that I think we need to acknowledge and give thanks for more often.”
That spark of faith, friendship, and the grace of belonging has changed him from the inside out.
“Now Logan can be Logan.”
Stories like Logan’s happen every day at St. Mary’s because of the generosity of people like you.
During St. Mary’s Gives, every gift is matched dollar for dollar up to $60,000 to support student ministry, helping more Aggies encounter Christ, find their identity in Him, and live it out in the world.
