How you can advertise
If you would like to request promotion of your event/gathering that is not directly associated with one of our student organizations please read the In the Community notes below for how to advertise with St. Mary’s. The below opportunities are reserved for our student organizations.
Aggie Catholic Weekly
These are St. Mary’s bulletins, which are given out at every weekend Mass. Due to the limited amount of space, most Weekly options will focus on events going on that week. On slower weeks, we may be able to include events further out.
Delivery: The Weekly is given out after Mass on Saturdays and Sundays.
Submission Deadline: The Monday preceding your requested weekend
Flocknote
Every week, we send out a Flocknote email to our subscriber base, which includes students, permanent parishioners, and other people that have signed up for these updates. In the email, we first detail special events going on that particular week, and then we follow it up with other events that are coming up. Sign up for the Flocknote.
Delivery: Flocknotes are emailed on Sundays at 8:15 AM.
Submission Deadline: The Thursday preceding your requested Flocknote (4 days out)
Mass Announcements
Daily Mass: Please email info@aggiecatholic.org with any requests
Sunday Mass: Space here is limited and will most likely be reserved for staff announcements. Our communications team will determine if your announcement can be read on Sunday.
Mass Announcements: send Sunday and daily Mass announcements to staff advisor or the receptionists at info@aggiecatholic.org or staff can submit them in appropriate documents. (FYI: Sunday Announcements are limited)
Posters
Posters can be printed to hang in classrooms in the Student Center and in the church. Poster art approval must go through the Communications Team. If you would like us to make a poster for you, please email us your request at least two weeks ahead of time.
Local Community
The Local Community page highlights local opportunities hosted by parishes, ministries, and organizations within the area. In order to be approved, you must adhere to the below:
All submitted events must have a direct and clear appeal to college-aged students. Because St. Mary’s is primarily a campus ministry, we prioritize opportunities that support the formation, community life, and spiritual growth of students at Texas A&M and Blinn.
Events/Opportunities must take place within a 40-mile radius of College Station.
Must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance and no more than 8 weeks before the event date.
Event descriptions should be 100 words or fewer.
Include one external link for more information.
Provide one PDF flyer with full event details (time, place, registration, contact, etc.).
All requests must be submitted through the Promo Request Form below.
St. Mary’s reserves the right to decline or remove listings at any time that do not align with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church or the mission and values of St. Mary’s Catholic Center.
Promo Request Form
Upon approval of your request, we will advertise your event in every possible avenue (though posters require a special request). However, due to space restrictions, we may not able to advertise in every way listed above. Within 24 hours of your form submission, we will reply to your email address with a confirmation of how we’ll be able to advertise your event!
If you are a St. Mary’s student organization and have a forth coming event, don't forget to reserve your room, check the calendar for availability/conflicts, and specify room setup
