Holy Hour for Peace

We invite you to a Holy Hour for Peace on Friday, February 6th from 7-8pm at St. Joseph’s.  Our US bishops have asked all parishes to “pray for reconciliation where there is division, for justice where there are violations of fundamental rights, and for consolation for all who feel overwhelmed by fear or loss.” This Holy Hour will include scripture, readings from church teachings and a litany for peace.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Local Community page highlights local opportunities hosted by parishes, ministries, and organizations within our wider area. It’s a way for us to help share events that may be of interest to the St. Mary’s community.

Please note: St. Mary’s Catholic Center has not reviewed or endorsed all aspects of these events. We encourage you to participate with discernment and in a spirit of faith.

  • All submissions are reviewed by the Communications and Marketing Team for clarity, alignment, and accuracy before publication.

St. Mary’s Catholic Center reserves the right to decline or remove any submission that, in our judgment, does not align with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church or the mission and values of St. Mary’s Catholic Center.

  • Our goal is to feature opportunities that are both local and timely.

Limiting posts to a 40-mile radius and an 8-week advance window helps ensure that what’s listed is relevant and accessible for our community.

  • While we’re glad to help spread the word, St. Mary’s does not specifically review or endorse every event or organization listed. Each opportunity is provided for informational purposes only.

  • Each organization may have one event listed at a time on the Local Community page. Once that event has passed or been removed, another may be submitted for consideration. This helps ensure fair visibility for all community partners.

  • All Local Community requests must be submitted through the Promo Request Form on our website. This form allows our team to review and process all promotional requests in one place.

To begin, visit aggiecatholic.org/promo and select the “Local Community” option when prompted. Please be sure to include your event description, one external link, and a single PDF flyer with complete details.

  • Approved events will be listed on this page, with a link included each week in The eWeekly email and featured in the St. Mary’s App, making it easy for students to browse local opportunities in one central place. Concentrating these listings here helps us keep communication clear, consistent, timely, local, and genuinely helpful for our community.

To maintain this clarity and focus, outside organizations are not able to advertise through other St. Mary’s channels (including announcements at Mass, social media, or print promotions). This page is the designated space for sharing these opportunities.
