Christmas Giving Tree

Join St. Mary’s as we help provide Christmas gifts for families in the Brazos Valley. We are partnering with several agencies to provide gifts for those in our community who are struggling.

Our Mission

St. Mary's has been given the opportunity to help provide around 700 gifts for low/no income families, adults, and children, in our community, and we need YOUR help!  Join us in sharing joy, blessing, and peace with our neighbors in need. We partner with various agencies here in town including St. Vincent de Paul, Early Childhood Intervention, Twin City Mission, and the Elizabeth House Maternity Home.

  • St. Vincent de Paul helps low/no income families, adults, and children in need in our community. Every neighbor on the Giving Tree list has been visited and nominated by a Vincentian Home Visitor.

  • Early Childhood Intervention serves children from birth to 36 months with a developmental delay or disability.

  • Twin City Mission serves those suffering from homelessness in our community as well as other groups. We will be helping provide gifts for those residents staying in the Shelter for Hope.

  • Elizabeth House Maternity Home provides expectant mothers and their children a safe, enriching and loving home.

The drive will run from November 29th through December 14th. See below for the different options for participating!

Give Physical Gifts

Step 1:

Visit our Christmas trees in either the student lounge by our coffee bar (starting December 1) or in the narthex of the church (starting November 29). Look for what gift(s) you’d like to claim and take the tag!

  • St. Vincent de Paul- white tags

  • Early Childhood Intervention- green tags

  • Twin City Mission- yellow tags

  • Elizabeth House Maternity Home - red tags

Each tag will give you the following information (gift tag number, age, gender, gift description). Please do not lose this tag—it might help to snap a photo of the tag with your phone as a back up in case you misplace it.

Step 2:

  • Option 1 (preferred): Shop for the gifts you have chosen, gift wrap each gift & label the gift. Attach the tag onto the outside of your gift and secure it well to the gift.

  • Option 2: Order the gifts you have chosen online, include a note in the order with the information given on the sign up (gift tag number, age, gender, gift description), and ship to St. Mary’s. If you do this, you MUST e-mail Madeline Hill notifying us to keep an eye out for it!

Step 3:

Drop your gift off at St. Mary’s! You may drop the gift off in the student lounge underneath the Christmas Tree. If you are dropping off a gift card, please take that to the receptionist desk. Gifts are due by December 14th.

Volunteer Your Time

If you are interested in volunteering your time to help us sort all of the gifts join us on December 15th. Visit this link for more details and to sign up!

Contact Libby Diamond for any additional information.

Donate Financially

If you’d prefer to donate financially, you may donate via cash, check, or card. We will use these funds to buy unclaimed gifts as needed. Anything above what is needed will be donated to the organizations we are supporting.

Any amount is appreciated. Cash or check can be dropped off before December 14th to the receptionist desk at St. Mary’s. Please make checks out to St. Mary’s Catholic Center and include “Christmas Giving Tree” on the memo line.

Thank you for your support of our local community. May your generosity be blessed and the Lord shower you with His abundance this Christmas season!
