Our Mission

To love our brothers and sisters on the streets in Denver.

We will be serving with Christ in the City missionaries in Denver, CO. Our mission is to love others as Christ loves us: in and through our poverty. We are seeking to do this with our brothers and sisters who are experiencing homelessness. This will be our 4th year serving with Christ in the City. Our group will consist of 1 staff member and 9 students. During our mission trip, we will have the opportunity to do daily life with the missionaries which includes daily prayer through mass, liturgy of the hours, and adoration, receive intellectual and spiritual formation, and go on street walks and participate in their night ministries.

Cost

The total cost of the experience is $975 (final cost will be determined with final cost of tickets & rentals, which will be finalized before trip acceptances).

This does not include meals at the airport on travel days and possibly one meal out while in Denver. The rest of the trip costs are included.

The team will have several opportunities to participate in different group fundraisers and personal fundraising. We often have students who are able to fundraise the full cost of the mission trip. If money is a concern for you, please reach out. We are always willing to help you with fundraising and scholarship options.

Applications

Applications will open on October 1st and close on October 18th. Acceptances will begin being communicated starting October 22nd.

Required Preparation Meetings

As part of our mission trip experience, we will have preparation meetings together as a team. These meetings will take place on the following Sunday afternoons from 3-5pm (November 8th, November 22nd, December 6th, January 31st, February 14th & 28th, and March 7th). We will also have a Missions Workshop on Monday January 18th from 4-7pm. All meetings will be mandatory. These meetings are focused on team building, spiritual and practical preparation for mission, fundraising coaching, and logistical preparation.
