Howdy!

My name is Amanda Kapchinski, class of 2012. In my years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor in various settings, I have had the privilege of walking with folks through a variety of presenting problems and difficulties. It brings me great joy to be here at St. Mary’s, to witness to God’s tremendous love and share his desire to bring us healing.

Hurt and hardship are not absent in any life but sometimes these hardships can lead to patterns of being and coping that keep us from experiencing the wholeness that God desires for us. Because of this, it is important to navigate the distress in our lives well.

We are not meant to live our lives in isolation, and it is important to reach out and receive appropriate support when we need it. If counseling is the type of support you need at this time, I would be honored to work with you.

If you would like to join the counseling waitlist, please print and fill out the Counseling Request Form, place it in an envelope labeled “Amanda Kapchinski” and give it to the receptionist, or email it to me at akapchinski@aggiecatholic.org.

Howdy!

My name is Elizabeth Rubio. I am a graduate counseling student at Divine Mercy University, pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I hold a bachelor’s in Kinesiology from the University of Houston and have spent years in ministry serving children, adolescents, and adults. These experiences have shown me the beauty of encountering others through service and deepened my desire to walk with people through life’s transitions with compassion and hope.

I am especially passionate about trauma-informed care, family systems, and integrating Catholic anthropology into counseling. I believe Jesus fully enters every part of our human experience, including the hidden and painful places, and that His presence brings true healing. I also deeply believe in each person’s ability to heal, grow, and flourish through honest conversation, faith, and trusted relationships.

If you’re seeking support in this season, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

I am able to offer services in both English and Spanish.
