Honduras mission Trip

This will be our 10th year serving with the Missioners of Christ based in Comayagua, Honduras.  They have been serving the people of Honduras since 1998 and have lived in Honduras since 2003.  They are a Catholic community that works in partnership with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and the Diocese of Comayagua to meet the needs of the poor and creating programs for discipleship and evangelization for the youth and young adults in the surrounding mountain villages.  Our group, consisting of 28 students and two staff members, will join in the Missioner’s mountain missions.  We will start each day with home visits, sharing the Gospel with the families and inviting them to participate in our daily programs.  Then, in the afternoon and evening, we will lead programs for the children, teens, and adults at the local church.  It will be an incredible experience to encounter deeply the people of Honduras and share Jesus with them.

The total cost of the experience will be about $1,700 (depending on the final cost of airline tickets)

• This includes:               
  • Flight to and from Honduras (we fly out of Houston)
  • Transportation to Houston
  • Room and Meals in Honduras
  • In-country travel
  • Missionary Travel insurance
  • Training, preparation, and supplies
  • A donation to the host organization above the minimum cost for our stay
• This does not include:
  • Spending money in Honduras
  • Any meals on the way to and from the airport.

The team will have several opportunities to participate in different group fundraisers, fundraising workshops, and personal fundraising.  
Through dedication and hard work, you can raise all funds necessary for the trip.
