St. Mary’s Catholic Center’s Institute of Catholic Studies is pleased to announce we will be offering a for-credit Theology class, through the University of St. Thomas (UST) for the fall of 2013. The class is entitled, Introduction to New Testament and will be taught by Fr. William Kelly.
Fr. Kelly, is an emeritus professor of Theology at UST, where he still teaches part-time. Fr. Kelly has a licentiate in Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute following studies in both Jerusalem and Rome and has taught Scripture at the university level for thirty-three years. Father Kelly is a former pastor in the Galveston-Houston Archdiocese; he currently lives and ministers at St. Mary’s Parish in Plantersville.
The Class will be offered on Tuesdays / Thursdays from 11:10am – 12:25pm in room 101 of St. Mary’s Catholic Center. There are no prerequisites required and any student enrolled (and in good standing) at Texas A&M is eligible to take the class.
Through a cooperative agreement with UST, St. Mary’s is happy to be able to offer this class at the very low price of only $200 per student!
At the completion of Introduction to the New Testament, UST will submit transfer transcripts to Texas A&M for students who receive a grade acceptable to TAMU. Although UST cannot guarantee that Texas A&M will accept Introduction to the New Testament for transfer credit, many UST Theology courses have been accepted for credit by TAMU in the past.
