Brother Knights helping cook for Welcome Weekend 2009
Welcome!
We are the Knights of Columbus Council #10624, located at St. Mary's Catholic Center in College Station, Texas, home of Texas A&M University.
The Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic fraternal organization in the world, with over 1.7 million members. Through faith, friendship, and fellowship, we reach out to our communities and to our nation to help those in need and to serve the Lord. Our goals include spreading the work and Word of God, sharing the fellowship of our brother Knights, and strengthening the Pro-Life movement. We work closely with our many local councils as well as the many other College Councils.

This Week With the Knights:
Knights’ rosary for those who lost their lives at Bonfire.-Thursday
Thursday after daily mass, there will be a procession to the Breen deck to hang a wreath in memory to those who lost their lives at bonfire in particular Christopher Breen who the deck is named after. There will be a rosary held directly after the hanging to pray for them.
Turkey Fry!-Saturday and Sunday
We need your help! On Saturday and Sunday, we will be cleaning/cooking birds all day long. If you can come by anytime during the day that would be awesome, but we especially need help early in the morning (we begin at 8am both days) and late at night (probably close to 9pm depending how things go). Turkey Fry is a ton of fun, you’ll get to know your fellow Knights not to mention to learn a thing or two about cooking turkeys.
Baylor Tailgate!-Saturday
Hey so the tailgate is on the same day as turkey fry and is at the same place, CONVENIENT! We just need help cooking and setting up not to mention having a few people manning the tables to collect donations from the former students for St. Vincent DePaul as well as the Ultra-sound Machine for the Good Samaritan. This also starts at 8am Saturday. Tailgate begins at noon. Then most of us will head out and go to the game together as well. The tickets will be at the tailgate. The Baylor Knights may also be there as well if they can make it.
Knights of Columbus Thanksgiving Day potluck meal!
If you’re going to be in town on Thanksgiving Day, the Knights are providing a Turkey Day meal to all of St. Mary’s. The meal begins at 12 noon in the activity center. What’s providing is fried turkey with a few sides and the Knights are requesting that whoever comes to bring their own specialty be it yams, green beans, a pumpkin pie or whatever you’d like to bring to the table. The cost is free to anyone who comes, although donations will be accepted to cover costs of the meal. So come join the rest of St. Mary’s and enjoy a holiday meal with us!
