We are committed to finding the resources to support the ministry of St. Mary’s. Through continued stewardship education and a comprehensive development effort, we have seen a steady increase in the programs we are able to provide. In 1994, weekly collections averaged approximately $2,000. Today, the average weekly collection is over $8,000, an increase of over 400%.
St. Mary’s Catholic Center is not a typical parish. It is a personal parish directed at the university community. While stewardship is strongly emphasized, our parishioners are almost entirely students with limited resources. Our offertory collection covers only half of the cost of running our programs.
The development staff of St. Mary’s cultivates and stewards the resources over and above the weekly pew collections and enhances the ministry of St. Mary's Catholic Center. The Church is in need of our young Aggies serving as priests and sisters. The Church needs Aggies as active parishioners. The charitable resources of former students, parents and others provides Catholic ministry that prepares students for active, full participation in parishes all over the world.
